On June 2, 2022, The Azerbaijan Society of America in partnership with The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States of America, celebrated the 104th Anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the 65th year of the establishment of The Azerbaijan Society of America.
Celebration was held at the iconic Turkish House in New York City, in collaboration with the Turkish Consulate General in New York City.
This important event was well attended by officials from United States, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Israel. Diverse group of community members enjoyed hearing about the history of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and The Azerbaijan Society of America.
The last 65 years have given the Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) plenty of reasons and experiences to celebrate this milestone. "We are proud of our achievements, we played a large role in defining and keeping Azerbaijan alive, when our homeland was under the soviet rule. ASA kept Azerbaijan alive, even when Azerbaijan did not formally exist anywhere on the world map. Azerbaijan existed in our hearts, our souls and our minds. It is this strong sense of being an Azerbaijani, gave us pride. We became Proud Americans with Azerbaijani Heritage."
Azerbaijan Society of America with their young American born youth, looking forward to the future opportunities and advancements. There are many challenges, but the future is bright.
