Azerbaijan Society of America Congratulates the United States on 250 Years of Freedom and Independence

The Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA), established in 1957 and one of the oldest Azerbaijani-American organizations in the United States, proudly joins millions of Americans in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

For two and a half centuries, America has stood as the "Home of the Brave and Land of the Free," a beacon of liberty, opportunity, and hope for people from every corner of the world. As Azerbaijani Americans, we are especially grateful to our adopted homeland for the freedoms that have allowed our community to thrive while preserving its rich cultural heritage.

For nearly seven decades, the Azerbaijan Society of America has freely raised the Azerbaijani flag, celebrated our traditions, shared our history, and kept the spirit of Azerbaijan alive. We have been able to do so because America provided us with the freedom of expression, freedom of association, and freedom of opportunity that define this great nation.

Since its founding in 1957, ASA has served as a bridge between the Azerbaijani and American peoples, promoting friendship, cultural understanding, and mutual respect. The organization remains deeply grateful for the opportunities that the United States has provided to generations of Azerbaijani Americans who have proudly contributed to the social, economic, and cultural fabric of this country.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, we honor the enduring values upon which the United States was founded liberty, democracy, and equal opportunity and reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the bonds between the United States and Azerbaijan.

On this special occasion, the Azerbaijan Society of America extends its heartfelt congratulations to the American people and expresses its profound gratitude to our adopted homeland.

Happy 250th Anniversary, America.
