Azerbaijan Society of America Hosts Annual Picnic at Scenic Ross Dock in Edgewater, NJ

Edgewater, NJ – August 31, 2025 – The Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) brought together members and supporters for its highly anticipated annual picnic on Sunday, September 31st, at the picturesque Ross Dock Picnic Area in Edgewater, NJ. With stunning views of the iconic George Washington Bridge and the Hudson River, the setting provided the perfect backdrop for a day of community, culture, and celebration.

Under clear blue skies and warm sunshine, attendees enjoyed a vibrant afternoon filled with laughter, music, and meaningful conversations. A highlight of the day was the delicious Azerbaijani kababs, masterfully prepared and served by longtime community member Raul Shamilov, which received enthusiastic praise from guests.

Picnic tables were beautifully set up with tablecloths, fresh flowers, and an abundance of traditional Azerbaijani food and desserts, all served alongside fragrant Samovar tea.

In the spirit of connection and cultural pride, many attendees shared stories from their recent travels to Azerbaijan, exchanging memories and experiences that highlighted the rich heritage and hospitality of their homeland.

The annual picnic is a cherished tradition for our community, It’s a time to relax, reconnect, and celebrate our culture in a beautiful setting.
