Donation to Yaşat Fund

Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) with the generous donations from our community members, are able to send a humanitarian help to the families of our needy soldiers in Azerbaijan. ASA transferred funds to Azerbaijan Government’s Yaşat Fund (Azerbaijan State Agency for Martyrs’; families support fund).

Over the years, Azerbaijan Society of America helped the needy people in Azerbaijan. In the first Karabakh war, in 1994, with the help of our Ambassador

Hafiz Pashayev’s connections with US government officials, ASA sent 40 ft container full of humanitarian help, hundreds of brand new blankets, wheel chairs, canes, clothing, canned food, everything went to Azerbaijan, I know this because, I was there going door to door asking for contributions, hospitals were donating old wheelchairs, our members were cleaning and repairing them, blanket factories were sending hundreds of unused blankets. Turkish community was contributing unused clothing, undergarments.

Last 10 years we also helped many people . We provided scholarships to over 20 Azerbaijani students, in some cases, we paid off their tuition so they are able to graduate, this year alone when covid-19 hit,  we helped to pay our student's rents, utilities and tuitions.

Today, in our Homeland, Azerbaijan, there are many needy families, especially the families of our soldiers. We are grateful to Azerbaijani Government for helping the families of Martyrs' as they should, we are also honored to be ableto help.

We are proud ASA is once again extending their helping hand.

Stay safe.
