Flags of Azerbaijan and America floating together front of City Hall in Philadelphia

In Honor of the 104th Anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first secular parliamentary democracy established in the Muslim World, flags of Azerbaijan and America was raised at the City Hall Building in Philadelphia. Azerbaijani American Community of Philadelphia stood by and witnessed the colors of two nations, the red, white and blue of America and the blue, red and green for Azerbaijan, floating above their head. It is a truly a wonderful sight. This symbolizes the hope of a future filled with optimism and the promise of continued positive and growing relations between our two nations, Azerbaijan and America. Our profound gratitude to Mayor Jim Kenney, Councilman David Oh for making this possible.
