The ASA holds a special connection to New Jersey it was founded here in 1957 by the first wave of Azerbaijani immigrants to the United States. From the very beginning, our founders worked tirelessly to build a strong and vibrant community grounded in education, friendship, and cultural pride. Over the decades, ASA has grown into a dynamic organization that brings together people of diverse faiths and backgrounds, Jewish, Christian, and Muslim united by shared values of mutual respect, understanding, and unity.

Today, the Azerbaijan Society of America continues to promote cultural enrichment, civic engagement, and public service, reflecting the very ideals that make New Jersey one of the most welcoming and inclusive states in the nation. We take great pride in contributing to New Jersey’s rich multicultural fabric and in fostering cross-cultural connections that strengthen our broader community.
